About Me

September 2011

Hello there! I’m countygalcitygal. I wanted “naturegirl” but that domain name was already taken. My friends know me as Holland. I feel that I have a lot to say. I suppose that’s why the a person would start a blog. I want this to be a place where I can write and share things I am passionate about, things that can help change the world,  and things I am making (ie canned low sugar stevia peach jam, homemade bath bombs, etc). I imagine that I may be playing catch up for several posts on things that I’ve wanted to share over the past few months but had not yet started my blog but the eventual plan to post the cool things I do as they occur. After a two year adventure back in my hometown in Arkansas, I will be flying back to my other home, New York City, so it’s anyone’s guess what my blog will turn into then. It will be about my life in the city but my life is always about getting back to my roots, or back to nature, or however you want to word it. I will be figuring out how to get the most local produce I can and learning how to make my own organic protein bars while enjoying all the city has to offer (that I can afford). I plan for the fall to be a spiritual journey. I will get some kind of work to keep me afloat, but mostly I will be focusing on yoga. I will attend teacher training at Yoga to the People Oct-Dec and I can’t wait to delve in and attempt to truly live the lifestyle of a yogini (in NYC). I hope you enjoy taking this journey with me. I will teach you what I learn and look forward to learning from you as well. Namaste’

January 2019

Just a little update! Mine and my husband’s wellness center EASTERN LIVITY has been open for a year in what we call the first phase! Located in Jonesboro, Ar. More development and info on that soon. Below I’m posting a little bio showing what all I’ve been up to!

Born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Holland spent most of her early life right on the same plot of land where Eastern Livity’s main building is currently under construction! She is happy to return to the South after more than a decade of calling New York City home. Holland earned her full STOTT PILATES® Certification in 2004 as she simultaneously graduated with a degree in Musical Theatre from Missouri State University. Since then, she has been lead further into the field of wellness and in 2011 received her 200 Hour Vinyasa Yoga Certification from Yoga to the People NYC. She has been fortunate enough to practice many styles of yoga (Hot, Power, Vinyasas, Hatha, Dynamic Hatha, Anusara, Restorative) with teachers all over the US and draws from her experiences to find what most helps her students deepen their Yoga practice.

In 2013, Holland and Jonathan joined forces and began to live a Zero Waste Lifestyle in St.Thomas, USVI, and continued to carry what they learned with them wherever they traveled or lived. Now they enjoy sharing what they learned with others and they feel that caring for the Earth and living in harmony with nature is at the core of Easter Livity.

Holland has completed additional training in Pre/Post–Natal Yoga (Prenatal Yoga Center NYC 2013) and Meditation (World Yoga Center NYC 2013/14).

In 2017, Holland completed training in GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Exercise and is excited to be one of the first to bring these methods to the South! Most recently, she finished her 500hr yoga certification with the amazing Circle Yoga Shala.

When taking a class or having a private session with Holland, expect a positive and fun interaction that will take you farther down your path of physical, mental or spiritual wellness.
